Sandbox 2.0 is now available, replacing the original Sandbox with:
- Support for up to four players instead of two.
- Access to the entire shared board collection, with square, hexagonal, rhombic and triangular boards available in various grids, coordinate orientations, colors and other variants.
- Access to the entire shared collection of 243 pieces, including balls, numbered balls, stones, hexagonal and square pieces, checkers, chess, shogi and xiangqi sets.
- The ability to save complete setups, including the initial position, for future games.

igGameCenter has received its largest update in years:
- The game interface now offers high-resolution graphics, move animations, responsive layouts and better support for both desktop and mobile devices.
- A brand new game server was developed to support true real-time play, including blitz games, with faster responses and more reliable game handling.
- The lobby has also been improved, numerous long-standing problems have been corrected and the tools used to maintain and translate the site have been modernized.
93 games are already running on the new platform. Work continues on bringing the remaining legacy games to the new platform.
