TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: September 1, 2026 1. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of igGameCenter ("igGC" or the "Service"). The Service is operated by Arty Sandler in Ontario, Canada. By creating an account, selecting the agreement checkbox during registration, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not register for or use the Service. A parent, legal guardian, or authorized program organizer who manages an account for a child accepts these Terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for the child's use of the Service. 2. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE igGC is a website that allows users to play board games online with other players. It also provides game records, ratings and rankings, chat, collaboratively edited information pages, game design and testing tools, and an official API. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCOUNTS You must be at least 13 years old to create an account independently. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Children under 13 may participate only through an organized school, club, federation, or competition program approved by igGC, and only after all permissions required by applicable law have been obtained. Children under 13 may not register independently. The organizer must contact info@iggamecenter.com, identify the country, purpose, participant ages, and duration of the program, and confirm that the required parental authorization or valid institutional authorization has been obtained. Under-13 participants will not be subscribed to newsletters. A parent, guardian, or authorized program organizer may manage an under-13 participant's account. Registration requires only a nickname and a password. Every account must have a nickname, but the nickname may be changed and does not need to identify the user. An email address is optional at registration but is required for certain functions, including password recovery, participation in lobby chat, and editing information pages. If you provide an email address, it must be under your control and capable of receiving required messages. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity conducted through your account. Accounts may not be shared, sold, or transferred, except that a parent, guardian, or authorized program organizer may manage an under-13 participant's account as described above. You may maintain multiple accounts, including accounts for game design, development, and Sandbox testing. Designers may control multiple testing accounts and are responsible for each of them. Multiple accounts must not be used to manipulate ratings, rankings, game results, or competitions; evade restrictions or moderation; impersonate or deceive others; or gain an unfair advantage. At its discretion, igGC may delete an account that has never played a game. Once an account has played a game, its user ID and game records become permanent. After that point, igGC does not provide a separate mechanism for disabling or deleting the account. You may change your nickname and password, remove identifiable information from your profile, and log out at any time. Logging out removes your session from the database but does not remove your account or permanent records. 4. ACCEPTABLE USE You must not:
Depending on the severity of the violation and any previous violations, igGC may issue a warning, edit or remove content, restrict features, invalidate affected games or results, adjust ratings or rankings, temporarily suspend an account, or permanently terminate access. igGC may act immediately where necessary to protect users, the Service, or competition integrity, or to comply with the law. You may request a review of an enforcement action by emailing info@iggamecenter.com and providing the account nickname and relevant facts. The action remains in effect during the review. igGC may uphold, modify, or reverse the action, and its decision is final. 5. USER CONTENT AND INFORMATION PAGES "User Content" includes profile fields, lobby chat, in-game chat, and text or images submitted to information pages. Content is published automatically without prior moderation. igGC does not endorse User Content and may later edit, hide, or remove content that violates these Terms. You are responsible for the content you submit. You must have the rights necessary to submit it, and the content must not violate applicable law or another person's rights. You retain any rights you hold in your profile fields and chat messages. By submitting that content, you grant igGC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, display, and moderate it only as needed to operate the Service and only for as long as the content is retained. Information pages, including their text and images, are collaboratively edited. You retain any copyright you hold in your original contribution, but you do not acquire ownership of or control over an information page. By submitting an edit to an information page, you grant igGC a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, translate, combine, publish, and distribute that contribution as part of the Service. Translations, game designs, and code may be submitted only with the explicit permission of Arty Sandler and are not treated as ordinary User Content under this section. Finished game sessions, including their in-game chat, are retained for no more than one week and are then permanently deleted. Abandoned sessions are removed within a few minutes once no joined members remain. Lobby chat retains only the 500 most recent messages. igGC does not provide private messages or forum posts. 6. GAME RECORDS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY Completed games are preserved in the game archive. The permanent archive stores only the game, its options, the players' user IDs, each player's rating before and after the game, and the list of moves. It does not store in-game chat. Ratings, scores, and activity records remain linked to the permanent user ID after profile information is removed. Every account retains a nickname that can be changed and does not need to identify the user. igGC may correct or transform archived data at any time, including when a move format changes. Preserving an archive record does not guarantee uninterrupted or perpetual availability of the Service. Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service, its software, interface, branding, and other materials provided by igGC are owned by or licensed to igGC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Game names, artwork, and other third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. 7. PRIVACY The separate Privacy Policy explains how igGC collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information. It also explains which profile information and activity may be public. Newsletter consent is optional and separate from acceptance of these Terms. 8. FREE SERVICE, DONATIONS, AND AVAILABILITY All services currently offered are free and are intended to remain free for the foreseeable future, but igGC does not guarantee that every service will remain free permanently. Donors receive a visual badge on their profile. The badge does not provide any additional access, functionality, entitlement, or gameplay advantage. igGC may add, modify, suspend, or remove games and features. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. igGC may temporarily interrupt or permanently discontinue all or part of the Service. 9. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION igGC may suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms, engaging in illegal conduct, cheating or abuse, threatening users or the Service, or evading an existing restriction. igGC may act without advance notice where necessary to protect users, the Service, or competition integrity, or to comply with the law. In non-urgent cases, igGC may decide, at its discretion, whether and when to provide advance notice. Termination ends access to the account and removes identifiable information from its profile. The permanent user ID, game records, ratings, scores, and activity records remain. Information-page licenses granted under these Terms also remain in effect. 10. EXTERNAL LINKS The Service may contain links to websites or resources operated by third parties. igGC does not control or endorse them and is not responsible for their availability, content, products, services, advertising, privacy practices, or other materials. Your use of external sites is at your own risk and is governed by their terms and policies. 11. DISCLAIMERS The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, igGC does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that content or game implementations will always be complete or accurate. You use the Service at your own risk. 12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, igGC and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, opportunity, reputation, or profit, arising from or relating to the use of or inability to use the Service; User Content or the conduct of another user or third party; changes to ratings, rankings, games, or records; or the modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. 13. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Except where mandatory applicable law permits a claim to be brought elsewhere, the courts of Ontario, Canada, have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service. You are encouraged, but not required, to contact info@iggamecenter.com before starting court proceedings. Mandatory consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected. 14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS These Terms take effect on the publication date shown above. igGC may revise these Terms. Material changes will be announced only through the website and will take effect when announced. Continued use of igGC after an announcement constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Dated revisions are preserved in the regular information-page edit history; no separate version number is assigned. 15. CONTACT igGameCenter is operated by Arty Sandler in Ontario, Canada.
