Compared with the original Sandbox, it supports up to four players, the entire shared collection of boards and all 243 pieces. Complete game setups can also be saved for reuse. |

During a turn, a player can place new pieces, move existing pieces or remove them from the board. Individual actions can be undone before selecting Finish move, which passes the turn to the next player. Players are responsible for following the agreed rules, deciding which moves are legal and determining when the game has ended. |
